It is with the saddest heart that I pass on the following. Please join me in remembering a great icon.

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was only 71.

Dough boy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch.

The gravesite was piled high with flours, as long-time friend Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes

Despite being a little flaky at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions.

Toward the end it was thought that he would rise again, but alas, he was no tart.

Dough boy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.

How sad. Now his widow will be raisin' her flour children all alone.

I seen his obituary in the waxed papers. I know that over the years, a lot of women would roll him for his dough after picking him up at the store. It was a recipe for doughmestic violence. He had been battered, beatened, whipped, cut up and even burned quite a bit, poor guy. He got caught more than once loafin' around with lil' miss Suzy Homemaker. They had mushy little nicknames goin' on, Cupcake, Muffin, etc. He would yield to her kneads every time she buttered him up. He would get fresh with her and then things would really get hot and sticky in the kitchen when she started giving him sweet little hersheys kisses! Even the oven got turned on from it all!
They wouldn't have gotten caught if it weren't for the 3 smoke alarms going off ! Yes Wyld, he will be missed. (sigh)
I understand that The Crisco Kid performed a real slick ceremonial
21 bun salute in his honor, with his Mrs. Smith's & Wesson.

You know of course that the Doughboy never got his head on straight again after losing a movie role to the Staypuft Marshmallow Man in "Ghostbusters". It was tough for a star of his statureto live with.
