This isn't a folk tune but they really seem to be having fun , this was also the same night that some Policeman told them to stop so they turned off the power right after this song ,he got hell from what I heard .

some really ambitious pumpkin carving there! something to inspire.
i'm afraid though if i were to put a jack-o-lantern out there, i am pretty sure it would end up a pile of crumbs within 24 hours

so sad

to add though,,,this one is still among my favourites

I found this today, it's stunning but I must warn you at some points I had to hold my breath just watching the video.

G1 what a treat. I can't imagine turning off the lights with your NJ friend and Paul McCartney on stage. Absolutely nuts.

Agnes, loved your additional videos of one of my favorite songs. I also liked your shout out song. I remember your pumpkin shot from last year, lol. I agree, just about all of the carvings are way out of my league. I have trouble with the modest triangle cut.

Hello Beverley! Hope your eye is healed. Loved your video. I was an avid on road and off road bike rider for at least 25 years. Nothing as difficult or dangerous as in the video, but I rode my share of difficult off road paths through the woods. Must admit my back gave out on me. I truly miss my bikes.

Thank you all. Have a good weekend. Will be back to post.

haha! what i was trying to say, is, if i would manage to even get a modest jack-o-lantern out there (or even a mere pumpkin) , surely it would end up harnessed to a bunch of squirrels and driven off as a carriage…or otherwise eaten! pffft…

while i have abandoned the carved pumpkin lantern idea (so sad…as they add such a nice touch)
and the vid you posted, janice, was a lot of fun, and does inspire) i did acquire a tin can lantern or two made by a friend. a lovely warm touch!

i do have to wonder how the massive urban sprawl has contributed to the animals being driven to these little havens in droves. i never had to worry about an open vegetable garden or even a simple jack-o-lantern being devoured before fairly recently.

just getting around to saying, really got a kick out of this one, G1!
you manage to find some curious gems!

Agnes, I truly believe you could ride off in a pumpkin coach. The slipper would fit too.

Can't believe you've never had trouble with critters before. I had feisty squirrels, and possums. They all love bird seed and wil chew through steel to get to it.

A few upbeat songs to start the week rolling.

I read today that Eric Clapton said Duane Allman played the greatest rock guitar solo. It was the following song that caught Mr. Claptons attention

And

And, a little more seasonal fun

Goodnight everyone.
