I'm confused about the cake. Is it CHONKLIT or Choklit? What is CHONKLIT? Is there a source on the net for National Clampoon? The Clampoon is in process. At least I eyed up an old 2 x 4 in the garage last night and found my cub scout knife so I am getting revved up to start whittling. Only problem is every piece of wood I ever whittled turned into a toothpick no matter how big the wood was to start. So a used Russian transport vehicle purchased via ebay is the direction I plan to head in. Let me know if anyone sees an auction starting. I am now thinking about catching some live giant clams to breed 'em and make fresh water giant clams so they have kind of a comeback and we can go out in groups of 15 and sing in harmony until one part disappears and 14 of us will jump on a fresh water giant clam. It could be an enlightening experience for blunderites from the midwest. Being from the midwest is my only excuse for my initial confusion regarding clampoon (much less clampoon making).

This whole thread has been an eye-opening experience for this midwest-girl (well, okay, old lady). No giant clams on our beaches ... but I bet Pat (the quilt lady), another midwesterner, could quilt a clampoon in no time.

Great idea! Maybe... Pat can quilt up a special beach blanket for clampooning? We can take our clampoon blanket down to the beach at Lake Michigan or Lake Huron, or Lake Superior, lay around on the quilt(blanket) drink some Guinness and hang out for the first of the first fresh water giant clams to pitter-patter up behind us as we lay around at the ready with our clampoons... <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Got to thinking (always trouble)! Isn't there a famous piece of art (Botticelli?) showing a nude woman standing in or emerging from a giant clam shell? Maybe the model was Cheryl in a former life. Anyway, Cheryl, make sure you keep those bathtub curtains closed the next time you're in Austria. Wouldn't want to see pictures of yourself on the half shell circulating around the internet, would you?
