Todd, give Georgia my best wishes, and let her know that there are many thoughts and prayers with her.

i was sorta hoping someone would notice the poem of georgia's i posted...i'm starting to realize how gifted she is as i read more of her stuff.

anyway,,shawn is in recovery..his lungs would not inflate properly because he shattered his clavicle and some of the bone punctured his lung and festered...a portion of left lung had to be removed...he's 22..that's a good thing..but i guess it's safe to say some careers are now out of the picture..thank god.

and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

sorry, Todd, I didn't get that Georgia,WROTE that poem, i thought she gave you a book of poems. It's very insightful, sensitive, brilliant imagery, Georgia is a gifted writer.
I know what you mean about the fray, though, that dog's done huntin, as Nathen would say....
Cool, Pam, it gets better, and worse.. it blunders along, in fact....
Tomorrow, thoughts will be with Shawn, healing, Arlo & Kitty, singing, & Jill Hennessy, it's her birthday. Today, my Mother would have been 91, I felt her, with me, all day

Todd, tell Georgia she's got another fan in me, and that I'd like to read some more if it's ever available, like on a web site or something (hint, hint, hint). This is a rare thing, because there are very few poets whose work I find even remotely readable. Hers is readable. And then some.

So glad to hear that Shawn has gone from "downgraded" to "recovery". And you got a new computer, too. Things are definitely loking up in some areas, anyway. Good thing, too.

Todd, Great news that Shawn's better, though it sounds like there's more recovery to happen; good thoughts and prayers continuing. Georgia has another poetry fan here, too. It's good.

Pamram, the current "flap" has helped me too--with learning more about fellow blunderites; but I agree, Todd, it's past time to move on.

it's raining buckets, here, in the far nw corner of Cal, as close as it gets, to "winter" weather. I drive back to Ukiah, 160 miles south, later today & pass thru much of Redwood Natl Park. trees and ferns sparkle green, when wet, Eel River meanders beside the road, almost full, a light chocolate color. Hwy 101 is 4 lane & curvy, most of the way south, to Ukiah, a perfect driving road. the 2 hours and 45 min a drive, a great time for reflection, music, appreciation of what there is..
had a great 3 days w/ my former wife & her 14 year old daughter, good friends, one and all..leaving's easy , w/ the anticipation of the next trip back, and that great drive...

Bumper,
I am very happy that you choose to expand your mind and that is great for you. If I wanted to study it I would run out and do so, however I was just stating that it is, in my opionion, annoying as hell to try and read your posts in when you are trying hard to sound rastafarian. My point is you are not!! You can try all you want to be but it isnt going to happen, kinda like that personality thing.
I find it pretty funny that Shannon can state her thoughts and you shout from the mountain top that we should be able to do that. Then the second i do it dirrectly towards you off with my head. And just becasue i dont agree with you, you personnally attack me by stating I dont have my wits. Well, opionions are like assholes bumper, and so are you.

name-calling is an immature behavior, smurf. I do Caribb dialects, as a respectful celebration of a creative way of communication, not to "be" anyone other than who I am.
So, I'm going to practice "selective obliviosity" with your posts, henceforth, you do what you choose, about mine...
