As a child I regarded electric fans along the sames lines one of those vegetable slicers! The grate around the whirling metal blades, and the warning signs in big red letters led me to think I would slice the tips of my finger off if I put it in a fan.

Then again, defiance can often overtake sound judgement!

had me thinking of when a friend (one crazy black redneck) called and offered a night of working crowd control at a grateful dead show. i didn't know there was a such a thing as crowd control at a grateful dead show...and i was right! ended up on stage for our own good with the grateful dead..it was great! (that was my one actualized grateful dead show...jerry and all!)
