i think our seatmates were looking at us a bit oddly because we were the youngest in the area and some behind us commented that my guy-friend had the only full head of real hair in sight... ! but i think everybody in my area was in good spirits. no non-clappers by us.
oh and to defend the others - sometimes i leave my coat on places just because i'm cold a lot. (i didn't last night though) but the no-clapping thing i can't defend. as well as the ear-covering!

well, have fun at the 2nd show those of you going.... i'm still jealous!! i'm going to some foreign movie tonight instead i promised my friend i'd go.... although i'm still having urges to start driving up to uconn again tonight! (about 40 mins from me)

judy, i have heard you sing and it sounds good.

and that's just about all i have to say about that.

Sometimes, you just have to wonder ...it's good that people come to the shows; some people just are not that openly enthusiastic about it. And there's been times when I didn't clap much because I had a broken finger. Arthritis can also make clapping painful for some people .

Hi ya folks!
I just got back from the Saturday night show at Storrs, CT and it was the same as last night except for a few additions and subtractions as far as the setlist goes. Annie, Serena, Jacklyn, Krishna, and Mo attended cool beans!
The setlist was the same as the Friday night show Arlo sang City Of New Orleans and When A Soldier Makes It Home. Sarah Lee and Johnny did not sing When The Lilacs Are In Bloom and Arlo did not perform Green Green Rocky Road. I can understand the time cramp of the show. Serena came on stage and performed Jingle
Bells . Annie lended her background vocals on a couple of songs they both did a tremendously awesome job
On This Land Is Your Land Mo, Jacklyn, Annie, and Olivia came out and joined in on the chorus to the tune. It was such a treat for all of us adoring fans that most of the family took part in the show thanks very much
After the show Arlo, Sarah Lee, and Johnny came out for a meet and greet I got my Exploration CD signed by Sarah and Johnny and had a T-Shirt signed by Arlo.
Judy it was nice to see you at both shows and I hope to see you in the Spring at the Church I am counting down the days and hours and minutes.
I want to thank Arlo and Family for a special night of song, love, happiness, and tenderness. Thanks for making this night so special see you all in the Spring for the Revival show and HD Walk

Oh you betcha the audience joined in and sang and clapped most of the night to the wonderful legacy music. I forgot to mention that Darkest Hour was not on Saturday's setlist nor St. James Infirmary. I tried to edit my previous post but somehow the forum God is getting cyber tempermental with me where's the blow torch

I wasn't really criticizing the people keeping their coats on. I tend to be cold more often than I'm warm myself, so believe me, I can relate to that. But it wasn't cold there, and between that and no clapping, for both of them to be sitting there like that, all bundled up tight and not moving, well, it was just kind of odd, like they were trying to protect themselves from something, which I found very sad. I really hope they took some good feelings home with them. Now last night, my friend Diana and I were sitting downstairs, way, way over on the right (Yes, the Right, Larry), and we shared a table with a very nice, friendly, older-than-us couple, who were laughing and having a good time. A real contrast. It was a great show! All the grandkids! But since we were all the way over on the right, I didn't even know Krishna was there till Arlo introduced him after a few songs. The percussion didn't register in my brain, if he played on the earliest songs. When Serena came out with her clarinet, I was so excited! She stood next to her Dad and played Jingle Bells on that thing, and he stood there, beaming even more than usual, which I didn't think was possible, but I found out it was. And the other kids were all wonderful, too. As Arlo said to me after the show, "Wasn't tonight fun?!!!". Yup, it was.

Ya'll are getting me in the mood for the Birchmere. In a coupla days. Yeah...

hi again Connecticut group... anybody thinking of going to the fairfield show on sept. 29?
I want to go but have to try to find somebody to go with me. Although my husband said he'll go if i can't find any friends that want to go.
Torrington's a little closer to me, and i guess it's only 2 weeks later really. but it's a sunday so not as convenient.
