What all's he playing? I saw him on the AR40 tour, and the setlist was stellar. This tour's got about 20 minutes open, what with AR gone and all. So what's he fillin' it with?

I forgot to write down a set list for the Guthrie Family Legacy tour show on Long Island before the european tour. I'm describing things separately but the lead gets passed around as the evening progresses and everyone else backs 'em up. Overall, the theme is Woody Guthrie songs. Since Sarah Lee and Johnny are also on the tour, they sing one of Woody's and follow with one of their own (or vice versa). Arlo knows his dad's songs but he was still doing Alice's while he remembers it. There were a couple of recently discovered recordings of Woody hisself sprinkled in, explaining folk singing and what not. It makes for a nice visit with friends, a mix of new and old.

Oh yeah, Arlo sang I Hear You Sing Again, one of those "brand new" Woody Guthrie songs with words by Woody Guthrie and music by Janis Ian.

Anyone going to the Harrisburg show? I wasn't sure I could make it but you know how it is when Arlo comes around?

Hi, PSB. Normally I'd be there... great venue. But I moved to the "desert" SW and can't afford to make the trip back, even tho it's Arlo. Oh well... have a great time.
