For those in the DC area (and environs), Theater J is doing a production of "Woody Sez" until 12/2. I went to it with some trepidation, a fear that it would be just a little too polished, the way so many bio-musicals are. And it is pretty shiny, and very moving and you can tell that the cast (some of which have been performing it since it first debuted in Edinburgh in 2007) loves the show. The theater also is doing post-show hootenanies (with some of the cast) for the next three Sundays; I went to tonight's and it was quite fun. In addition, on December 2 at 5, Tom Paxton is appearing with a few other folks for "Woody's Children/Glory Bound".

There's further info on all of this at:

Lots of reviews at: http://theaterjblogs.wordpress.com/2012 ... -docs-too/

Theater J is at 16th and Q Streets NW -- about six blocks north of the White House and a 4-block walk from the Dupont Circle Metro (Q Street entrance).
