TOUR is the keyword here. I've done a lot a gigs just by myself over the years. I have not done a year-long tour by myself since somewhere around 1965. Thus the name of the tour, as opposed to the kind of a gig... :)

ok, ya got me there arlo (and I'm sure I speak for ceashel too)... i can only remember the single solo show, can't rightly say that it was a solo tour. Thus the statement about it being over 40 years since your last solo tour stands as true. The press got it right I guess!!!
Thanks for the semantic correction!

Awesome article :D Do they mean Vanity Fair magazine? I will have to keep my eyes peeled for that issue with the family portrait. Is Camp Guthrie a new summer camp?

Thanks Jim...awesome. We got the globe delivered until they chronically ripped us off.

Arlo.......Thanks so much for the great interview......my mom's house was blown away in Port St Lucie and I understand the insurance issue too well. Best of luck with the Florida kooks (my father in law lives in Melbourne Beach on the river by Sebastian Inlet.....a place down there will be way more appreciated than an account # somewhere.....like someone said..."land is the best investment....they aren't making any more of it". See you at in Hyannis. :D

Ya, i woke up this afternoon and went down stairs. There on the Mantle Peace was Arlo in the Boston Globe. (Though my Mom doesn't know him, it was sweet of her) It was 2 real good cups of coffee with some smokes to start my day.

About the Vanity Fair shoot with Annie Lebowitz, it is for a fall issue on musicians, here is a corespondance from Joe Kahn replying to my inquiry about this VF article:

thanks for your email. photo shoot was, I believe, for annual Vanity Fair music-themed issue, due out this fall. hanging with Arlo was very cool, one of those assignments that reminded me why I still like the newspaper biz. cheers, Joe

That is v. cool.
