Arlo is participating in an Appleseed Recordings project tentatively titled Feels like Home. Well-know musicians pair with homeless singers, songwriters, and musicians addressing the national crisis of homelesssness and destitution. Modern Guitar Magazine article

I agree, Cheryl! That sounds really interesting!! It's SO like Arlo to be involved with this project because he'a SUCH a sweetie and a kind, caring human being!! Helping others seems to come naturally to him. Wish more people would follow his example ...

Hello everybody, this is my first post here so I thought I should make it a good one. I'm a contributing editor over at Blogcritics.org, and May was set aside for featuring Arlo and the 40th tour. If you go herehttp://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/05/01/084343.php you will find a Master post providing links to the articles published this month and earlier about Arlo at the site. I'm hoping more will be contributed, soon (I had eight other writers lined up but so far none have delivered) but for now you'll have to be satisfied, with an interview, a review of his concert in Kingston Ontario on May 11th,(you can also see that at my own site http://blogs.epicindia.com/leapinthedark/2006/05/concert_review_arlo_guthrie_ki.html) a review of Live In Sydney and a news item about The City Of New Orleans tour.

Other articles still to come in this feature will deal with the movie (one writer is working on something about Officer Obie - he played himself in the movie) and more personal recollections about "Alice's Restaurant".

Although Arlo's only mentioned by name briefly in it, you might find my interview with Willy Deville interesting anyway http://blogs.epicindia.com/leapinthedark/2006/05/interview_willy_deville.html He's an incredably facinating man and we talked for two hours on the phone the other day about everything under the sun, the moon, and those nights when it's pitch dark.

cheers
