Sorry for getting serious, but I am getting pretty desperate. I still have not seen the film and I'm going there in four months, so if ANY one has a spare copy I could buy or knows of some where I can get a VHS copy from, please let me know.
Eternally Grateful
Yours
ME.

Beverley,
The main problem is, US VHS tapes are in the NTSC format, but for a British TV, you need a tape in the PAL format. Maybe someone around here has an idea. (?)

NTSC VHS tapes can always be converted to the PAL format (and vice versa). Many small electronic shops can provide that service for a nominal fee... As for the "Alice's Restaurant" VHS video... As I write this near 8 PM on 6/10, there are currently three copies on ebay offered and a quick check at amazon.com lists no fewer than eleven sellers who offer the out-of-print VHS version at prices between $10 - $15... Hope this helps!

:D I just happen to have a copy of Alice's Restuarant. I met Arlo back in 1978, and I have pics of my Grandmother and Alice when she had her Alice's at Avaloch Restuarant.
I would be happy to make you a copy if you like. Just email me and let me know.
