Warming here also but we're still getting cold/ cool nights . The green is all out and the trees are done and the spring planting is going on. The Mrs. does it here at home but she does at school to. She's been a Kindergarten Teacher for 37 years has a garden and a chicken coop(she has 7 girls) behind her classroom so she is always doing something. She considers me "Mr. Greenjeans" and has me slinging dirt , chicken feed you name it.

It's late May, almost June already. The days are flying by, and so are the clouds. I think we've seen the last of the winter, and maybe the last of spring too. Summer's coming! People are being born, people are dying - Life goes on.

The flowers are pushing up from the ground getting ready for another season. Me too. Creatures large and small are roaming around. I don't roam as much as I used to, but I'm enjoying it all.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we have been eating the early peas. Today I ate the first raspberry of the season. Tomorrow I'll be making rhubarb jam. I find comfort in the garden cycles. Scarlet tanager visited today. Second year they showed up. My granddaughter said all our birds were making a big fuss and asked if it was ever quiet. Perfect opportunity to tell her about a book called, "The Silent Spring." Everyone our age knows that book well and how important it was at that time.

Getting kind of excited my middle daughter is a great painter and it's all natural. I have always told her about Norman Rockwell and my love for his work. She has finally agreed to come with me up to the Inn and hit the Museum and a few other spots. I've taken her boys up before and I think they pressured her to finally go. :D

"But I am not dead yet"..LOL... Though last fall I Had a run in on a ebike vs car(not my first).I came to in a E.R. observation area and as the brain cell was rebooting the Grim Reaper passed by the foot of my bed.I drifted in and out for a while and the first few times i opened my eyes i was pretty scattered.I thought i was on my own Burritto run and on my way to meet up with todd and RB at the church..then i woke a little more with it but still remembering the Grim Reaper.there was no medical team in sight but I could hear chatter through curtains surrounding my bed.Nurses talking about the Grim Reaper passing through..WTF?? I knew the brain cell would be ok when I realised it was October 31.I guess burritto run can wait..
