The story about Pete Seger driving onthe left side of the road, his story of how he met a young Steve Goodman, The Significance of the Pickle, playing in the same town as Dylan, Alice, they're all great. I have to say though, since my parents read it to me a ton as a kid, Mosses Go Walking has some emotional attatchments that the others don't.

There are so many that I love, but I think my (current) favorite is the one about the concert in Europe where Pete asks Arlo to sing something and he comes up with Can't Help Falling in Love.

OMG Arlo's story are magnificantly awesome I can't even pick one :? ....I have not heard all of them since I still considered an Arlo virgin because I am still in the process of building up my record/CD collection like sculpting with adult Legos  I went to my first concert back in November 2005 and I plan to attend more of these parties when Arlo performs at the church come Spring and Summer, thank God I have 3 months off from work during that period :D.....Anyhow I have to say my favorite Arlo story so far is Coming Into Los Angeles, I get a kick out of Arlo explaining the drug smuggling process and the seat arrangement 36C, 36D, 36E. What an airhead I was that night I thought he was talking about buying Frederick's of Hollywood and campaigning padded bras in size 36C. I first had a notion that Arlo was going to sing a new song he wrote about his wife wearing sexy lingerie

Peace

I like all the stories and rarely ever get tired of hearing any of them. The two that make me laugh every time I think of them are the "Get Dolly" story and the "are you bringing in a couple of keys" part of the "Coming Into LA" story.

Since I'm still fairly new to Arlo, I haven't heard all the songs yet. I have to admit, the Significance of the Pickle actually made my husband laugh out loud when I played it in the car one day.

How much of Arlo's stories are true? I've heard that Alice has been stretched, but that's Officer Obie's version :)

I cast a second vote with winecat on the "Can't Help Falling in Love" story. Just something about him telling it brings back the atmosphere of the time which, as he says, "didn't last long."

I vote with Dan for the story of Joe and the coat. Although, I'd sure love to hear the one about the little green buffalo again...

The one about him enjoying just sittin' around doin' nothin'............."Oh, Arlo........"

Sittin' around doing nothing for awhile is one of the best cure alls in the world I reckon..............kind of a form of meditation...........If more people tried it they might give their brains a chance to slow down for awhile and there wouldn't be so much rage in the world.........I've never seen adg in a rage or raveing on about something and banging his shoe on the table have you????
So it must work. I sometimes wonder if he even gets time to scratch his 'you know what' ccassionally, so that doin' nothin' must save his sanity.
And it helps him get his point across in a non threatening way.

Ok, I agree with the coat and Joe tale,Moses was fun, Love the Elvis in Europe thing, and the Amazing Grace turn the ship around story strikes a chord........Oh, was I supposed to pick only one?:)

And for the record, Dan doesn't REALLY get blamed for stuff in stories, he only get blamed for stuff when something weird happens at a show. Kinda like sunspots do.......kinda Danspots.....I think. I think it may be one reason I like it when Dan is around. :D
