I really don't know where to start in all this. I think Arlo had a part in moulding my political attitude from when I first sneaked in to see Alice's Restaurant at age 15, if I can recall correctly. Arlo was about 22 then and I was just about to get my first commercially manufactured guitar and to rebuild an old Magnatone amp. My own father was the conceptualizer of the EV Eliminator.

If Arlo sees this, I hope he is doing well and will put up with an eccentric inventor who now tears apart blown speakers for the magnets, using them for time-space research.

I've read "Bound for Glory" some years back and found some identification with the Guthries because, although I've worked as an engineer many years, I made my living as a sign painter/erector for about 20 years. With all his dad went through in his journey's aboard trains (I really felt for Woody when his lettering brushes were carted away with one ride along the way) it's amazing that Arlo was ever born. I'm just glad he was.
