Alice and Ray were living in the old Trinity Church...which, I believe is the namesake for the Trinity Racing Association. I don't believe there is a Nazi connection.

Hi Sue, I wasn't saying Nazi, connection, exactly. Nor, certainly did not mean to imply Ray, Arlo or anyone had secret Nzi sympathies (hope you did not think I meant this from my initial post. So I was just wondering about potential meanings and origins of the red triangle. I know that the immediate reference is to the motoX race team. I wondered, though if; just as pro-gay activists borrowed the Nazi symbol for gays to later be proud of being pro LGBT, perhaps some of our left-leaning friends borrowed the red triangle to give it a new, positive meaning (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_conce ... amp_badges)

Now folks, I do enjoy listening to Arlo and got some of his CDs. The film "Alice's Restaurant" was interesting and captured both a time and of course, the song. I have watched it a number of times but I sure wouldn't offer it as an introduction to Arlo Guthrie no-matter how many VW stickers are out there! Arlo has passed "Alice's Restaurant" the song on down but I'll be hanging on to my copy of the film and do not intend passing it down, recycling it, or taking it to the dump! LOL, peace and goodwill to all you beautiful people.

Over on the side (on mine it's the left side) of the Arlonet homepage there's a tab called "schedule" which lists all tour dates and places.

I've got it in my "favorites," so all I have to do is click to be on, no logging in or anything. BUT, if you google "Arlonet" (I just tried it so I know it works), you will be taken to a page with Arlonet at the top (Arlo's OFFICIAL home page), and under it a link to "schedule." That will tell you everything there is to know about Arlo's whereabouts and gonna-be's.........

No such stickers were produced by anyone associated with me or the church. The symbol was created by Ray Brock who formed the Trinity Racing Association (TRA) which was a dirt bike group of racers, just for fun. The name came from the Trinity Church where Ray & Alice lived for a time, making the abandoned building their home. The church was also the main location for the 1969 film "Alice's Restaurant" directed by Arthur Penn. The film had elements of reality but was mostly a fictionalized account of former times, including the recreation of the TRA. There was, to my knowledge, no relationship to other uses of the symbol, and are all coincidental.
