Saturday night in St. Louis at the Touhill Performing Arts Center was a flashback from the past for this old hippie! Arlo and family were in great form and Arlo your storytelling is the stuff of legends. Oh, that's right. You are a legend. Your son Abe does a fine job on keyboards and your daughter Sarah has a beautiful voice. It's plain to see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the Guthrie Family. What a show!
We were about six rows back of to the left of stage and I was totally peaking during the whole show. We saw you back in March of "05" at the same venue and that was great, but this year with the mix of some of your old standards like "Alice's Restaurant" and "Coming into Los Angeles" along with Woody's songs was over the top. A truly great show in a great venue. Please don't change venues when you return? The Touhill is both a beautiful place to the eyes and the ears, and a worthy venue for some great memories. An added plus was that I noticed Sarah was playing a new Gibson just like mine. Keep up the great playing and keep us informed about the train tour?
We are not worthy,
Hippie Ken
