Happiest Birthday to you, Woody and evidently your granddaughter too! What happens to Guthries in October/November that you have a plethora of births in July?? :)

We were fortunate enough to see you all at the Phillips Center in Gainesville, Florida this year. We brought our two sons - ages 23 and 9. (We were first in line afterward to talk to you and you signed your first tour hat for my husband and my new t-shirt I was wearing and I even got a hug :) I'll treasure it always.

I told you then that I have sung the "Pickle" song practically every time I give a pickle to my sons, who both happen to be big Pickle fans - the song and the food. Our youngest often quotes lines from "Alice's Restaurant" and "Motorcycle/Pickle". He particularly likes the line: "...flyin', singin', writin', weirdo-freak..." :) He knows many of your songs by heart. The other night during the fireworks on tv, they played some of Woody's "This Land" and he piped right in singing along with the crowd. What a Legacy!

We had a wonderful night listening to you and your family - the BEST! We could have easily listened to you for many more hours. In fact we did - for days on the CD player! We are going to pick up the new CD ASAP. Any chance that you will be here again soon? We know many more people who were sorry to have missed you. They would love to have another opportunity!

We are also working on a little present for you. It's not quite done yet. We think you will like it. (Don't worry we're not weird - at least not weird weird :)

Anyway - hope you have Happy Birthdays, this year and many more to come.

Ellen, Tracy, Justin and Sam Light

P.S. There was a girl named "Fred" selling the t-shirts, etc at the show. She said if we ever posted to the website to tell her "Hi". So..."Hi, Fred! Hope you enjoyed the beer!"

Happy belated birthday Arlo. You'd better not be retiring in 5 years. We still need you.

Thanks for all the great times and all the great songs. Hope you had a great birthday

Happy Birthday Arlo!
I was caring about my exams lately so I couldn't wish you a happy birthday... now I passed my exams so I can write on the forum again!

May you stay forever young,

French Rosasharn (when will you come to France, Arlo?)

I'm way late with this, but Happy Birthday, Arlo, and many more to come, I hope!

Keep on doing what you want to do, as long as you want to do it. You have been a real gift to lots of people.

Thanks for everything! :)

You don't look (or act) your numeric age. Id say that was revenge enough!!

Happy always.

Happy (belated) 60th Birthday, Arlo! To celebrate your birthday at our church camp, I read "Mooses Come Walking" to the kids & taught them to sing "My Peace." Blessings, Ben

Hope it was a good one!

I'm a week late :(

But happy belated birthday!

(by week late I don't mean what some might infer ... not that kind of "late")

:D
