All I know is the guy was too short to play Arlo convincingly, so the Alan Moon character must be a composite. A little bit augie doggie , a little bit shaggy, and some kinky friedman, and just a hint of big daddy from beach party at the end: the word is given. The guitar playing was obviously faked in post. Nobody that old is that good.

My favorite Shakespeare character is the third sentry from Macbeth. He handled a staff well.

Are you sure GW was actually a person? He seemed too stiff and couldn't pronounce words. I think he was a military AI prototype. The successor seems more of a 2.0 release. Much smoother.

Not in the prototype. The I in AI is fact-driven and it was already too slow. A truth table would have really made it unresponsive. He was all GUI and no server much less services.

Cheney is definitely not AI. He is a codfish: all dick; no tail. His protection is up front. Ever see anyone behind him? That's a clue.

Yeah. Alan is the Arlo we imagined. I got to see the family without Arlo. A real privilege, too. The next generation busking a whole show without Dad shows a lot of strength.

And all of them write... differently like each of them staked out a style. Cool.

Sarah Lee is Arlo. The look on her face as she tunes is the same look he has on Washington County. She has the spirit, so the need and the brains. She plays her genius smartly. Annie is dark blues and should sing more. Her voice is the most different and in a really good way. Cathy is the angel face with the angel voice and the bawd. Also more songs. They are expert baby wranglers and do a "Sylvie" to die for.

Abe is the rock. Sing? I know he can so sing. Abe and Terry a la Berry understand each other's playing. It gells organically. Krishna is a young jazz rocker finding his sound but writing impressively. Add more solos. Johnny is drive and professionalism. He gives it vigor.

FWIW: that was impressive, folks. Thanks for the moment.

Also does anyone know if Arlo made it to the GC for the Saturday or Sunday shows? We saw the family Friday night and they were great, but we really missed Arllo.

I know Arlo made the saturday show, because I did too. The guy is a pro! I mean he can play and sing even if he can't walk! So far as Byrds, I don't
know, BUT, Mrs. G had some of Byrds up on YouTube. Look under Jguth3.

Arlo apologized for missing Friday night. He doesn't usually miss a gig and said "we blew it". I disagree. I was at both performances and the job Sarah Lee and the rest of the family did was worth my and my wife's travel from Alabama for the weekend. If that was all I saw, I was satisfied with the outcome. As t'was, I saw Arlo on Sunday night and it was brilliant. I could tell as he walked past me going to the office afterward that he was in pain. The glimpse was well worth the trip.

He pulls a big train and he's been doing it for a lot longer than anyone who started when he did. Furthermore, he's seen to it that the next generation is well able to pull it when or if he chooses not to. Who can ask more of a man?
