Woody Guthrie was in London after his Merchant Marine ship, the Sea Porpoise was torpedoed. He presented himself at the BBC, declared himself a folksinger, and said he;d like to sing on the radio. They took him aside, hade him sing a couple of songs (they didn't know who he was) and was taken to the upcoming Children's Hour program studio. This is that performance.
