I was so excited I just had to come share!

It's finally happening! Arlo ..Austin!!!!!!

Guess what? It's the same night that Folk Uke is performing there at The Saxon Pub!

So Hoping(cough*cough*hinting) that he might sneak onstage. I think there is enough time between gigs for a howdy doo! 8) I'm just sayin.......

Arlo Austin TX YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

.....we just saw Arlo in Pampa, Texas at the Dixie Cafe on Sunday afternoon while standing in line for a table. I heard my wife say " well hello" and turned around and he was standing 2 ft from me and I said "hey man" and shook his hand, about that time the waitress came by ,asked how many said two unless these guys wanta sit with us ,then we need 5. Arlo said nah. We set down and looked around and at least a dozen people walked through to a more private tables. Saw Abe,and grandson we learned later, and sister nora and the rest of band and roadies. Later he put on a fantastic show at the Mk Brown auditorium deadicated to woodys 100th birthday celebration!!!!!!!

Well I did, but then I didn't. I couldn't get in to see Arlo perform because it required wristbands or badges (SXSW) which I didn't have.

He played guitar with Cathy and Amy at The Saxon Pub. Folk Uke was AWESOME! Watching him sing along with us to M'F'r couldn't be beat! :D I got some video to remember the occasion. I just loved Folk Uke! Cathy's voice is truly an amazing gift. When they did "You belong to me" Her tones gave me goosebumps!!

I admit I had the chance to go say Hello to Arlo after the show outside, but he was on the phone (in case your reading this Arlo, yes that was me with the four and a half feet of hair) but you know, that just isn't my style to just walk up to someone like that. While I know he loves his fans, they can sometimes be bothersome and I just didn't want to be that somebody.

I saw him, he saw me...it was all good. I'd still like to get up to The Church someday, but at least now I can say I saw him.

At least ya got to see him with Folk Uke. They're good. I bet if you'd said hi to him he would've enjoyed it. :)
