Just a note to introduce myself - I'm a former draft dodger who joined the Navy after dodging the Army (long, mostly inscrutable dark gap of 30 years) and have finally had the opportunity to see Arlo again (last time about '78 or so - dark period) and was blown away by the fun and good fellowship among the musicians on the City of New Orleans tour. I had never heard of Kankakee until I heard the song, and somehow (must have been God's plan, wasn't mine) I now live in Kankakee. The concert was a blast, 2nd row center seats, every Liberal in Kankakee County was there . . . all 250 of us . . . it's a red state, ya know. I put a few photos in an album to share, hope folks enjoy them.

Do we have to come to your house to see the album?

Your brother, Gallant, might have figured out that the album is in the Photo Gallery section of Arlonet, but maybe not - not only do I tend to be Profuse, but sometimes Obtuse as well . All that aside, you would be welcome to come to the Gnuhouse to view not only those photos, but all the ones that wouldn't fit into 1024k of album space. Again, I wish you all a Happy Gnu Year!

Thank you for your compliments - I'm grateful for the chance to share them with folks. I would be glad to share a full resolution file (3mb) of any of the images with anyone who emails such a request to me at the studio email address in the profile. They make a nice 8x10 print if you use good paper. I have to remark again what a pleasure it was to be at that show - and the next day Arlo & family were at the coffee shop across the street from the studio and I had the opportunity to have Arlo, Sarah and Johnny autograph the GnuGuitar , and Arlo was gracious to pose for a pic with da Gnu. One of the other people at the shop took a pic of Arlo signing the guitar, and now there hangs in the coffee shop a lovely photo of that act, with a generous view of the GnuButt (my best side).
