Any of you good people going to be at the show in Boston? I am going tomorrow with a friend of mine, he has never seen Arlo so it should be a nice treat for him...no real point to this post other than to see how many Arlo fans from Boston check out this site and to express my excitement to see him again!

Great Show Last Night!

My seats were in the second balcony, stage right (We were sitting the second row on the floor). They were the first row, so I had a great few of everyone. It was very amazing/inspiring to watch Gordon from that perspective, it was great to be able to watch how his hands and his feet mastered the steel guitar. Arlo gave a great show as did the Mammals, I had never seen them before, but they were a real treat.

So, just like many posts before me, I just wanted to say that Arlo outdid himself again with a magnificient show!

...Arlo,Abe,Gordon and the Mammals sure did rock Symphony Hall last night....this is a big place...(Arlo played there with the Boston Pops)...in the winter they take the tables out and put in regular seating.....2600 they told me... and it was just about full.....

....acoustics are amazing, but it is used mostly for classical and more pop music....the audience was definitely a mix of Arlo fans and the more conservative Symphony crowd....it's not my favorite theater in Boston by far but what a kick it must be for the musicians to have that big an audience...especially when they blow them away like they did last night...

....the Mammals were so good..all were there....Michael,Ruth, Tao and the newer Chris and Jacob..i've seen them a couple of times and they are becoming one of my favorites.....they opened with a long set..joined for awhile with Gordon..and after intermission, Arlo, Abe and Gordon opened and various members of the Mammals drifted on and off....with different songs....all there at the big finish to a good 4 to 5 minute full house standing ovation ...

Arlo's set is familiar to all veteran fans...but the fun is in hearing what you missed before...and there's always something... watching the less veteran fans hearing those songs and stories for the first time....or with such nostalgia (another standing ovation for Alice's Restaurant - and Alice Brock and Rick Robbins were in the audience)....during intermission a woman told me in the ladies room that she and her husband were seeing Arlo for the third time!!!.....she was so excited and had that fevered look in her eye....so i directed her to this website and the Guthrie Center.... a blunderer in the making.....

...and of course Arlo got the glow going with his usual magic touch.....by the last song "Peace" the good energy was palpable and filled the theater....thanks, once again...to Arlo, Abe, Gordon and all the Mammals for a great night...y'all come back soon now........

That is the same exact setlist in the Amherst show......Symphony Hall sounds like a cool venue.....Thanks for the song titles I was stumped on:)
