The wife and I were lucky enough to catch Leon at Alive at 5 at Albany's Riverfront park on July 28th. I had allot of expectations about seeing and hearing Leon. ( mostly due to allot of bad reviews last winter )

It is true, when Leon goes thru his setlist, it's sorta like being at the races. ( I guess when yu start the next song, directly after the first and so on, it leaves little chance for the hollaring out request thing ) ???? Or that's just the way Leon likes things done.

Anyhow it was probably one of the better shows I've seen, in yrs. Leon really rocked, and slowed it down for some folkier stuff... Leon was so great words could never approach it..

NTM: We were SO glad that our friend Wyldflower was able to make it... That's a story for another time.... Purty sure Wyld wuld back me up, Leon might be older, but slower he's not... And his music opens your heart like a good old fashioned novel.....

GREAT STUFF ---- Keep on truckin Leon Russel
