i saw John McCutcheon at our local Bluemont Concert series tonight. He was really cool. He could only perform a little while because of the rain, but he did two Woody songs. "Mail Myself To You" which is featured on a Post Office commercial and "This Land is Your Land." Mail Myself to You, i thought, was extremly beautiful. he played a hammer dulcimer on it and it was juuuust right. he said he used to sing it for his kids at night and he knew if he played that one that they would surely fall asleep.

he played 'this land.." on his autoharp. which was neat. all my highschool friends thought i was a little lame for knowing all the words, but i showed them how cool i was when i sang with it with one of their moms. i don't need them... for singing songs with anyways. if John McCutcheon comes your way... see him!
