You might think I am curious... but has Arlo ever played and recorded a song by The Beatles?

The one song that comes to mind is "I've Just Seen A Face" ~ Lennon-McCartney from Arlo's "One Night" album. From the Arlo gigs of yesteryear, I remember Shenandoah, (Arlo's backup band) covering a LOT of Beatle's songs to warm the crowd up before Arlo came out onstage. Their sound was tight and a pure delight.

yes, the Bluegrass version of said song..... my sister-in-law used to always make fun of it.....That and the opening song on One Night.....

Of course people have long loved teasing me about adg round this place. Doens't mean they don't like him. And aging hippy pumping gas with that sliver hair do, and a height of 6'2" it's hay rb it's arlo.....It get's much worse upon entering the state of Mass...... :arrow: :twisted:

First time I ever saw Arlo in concert, in 1979 in Greensburg, PA, he sang "Paperback Writer" backed by Shenandoah. It stood out for me, not only coz it was a familar Beatles song, but coz Arlo played no instrument himself on that one. Arlo with no instrument holding the mic looked like a pitcher with a bat in his hands. I don't know if he was playing that one regularly on that tour or if this was just a one-time thing.

There used to be a paige (sorry, I meant page, I've got Paige Davis on the brain) on the ArloNet site here where you could listen to a download (or play it now) of Arlo with Xavier opening the show. If memory serves me correctly :roll: I believe Xavier covered Lennon/McCartney's "Nowhere Man" in their setlist. Sung acappella? Atlantic City was it? Whatever happened to that particular web paige?

That was called Pirate Radio from the old website design and is no longer available, at least I've never been able to find it here. It was on the first set. Nowhere Man by Xavier accapella.

Pirate Radio can run (actually it's more like an awkward hobble due to its wooden leg) but it can't hide.
