John Entwistle, bassist and founding member of the Who, died in Las Vegas Thursday--the day before the Hall of Fame rock band was set to kick off a summer tour.
Entwistle was born October 9, 1944, in Chiswick, England.

I, along with music fans everywhere, will grieve the loss of this legend.
John Entwistle profoundly influenced so many, and will continue to do so even posthumously.
I am grateful that I was able to see him perform live.
