Sad news has come to me to hear that one of the members of the legendary group 'The Mamas and the Papas' has passed away. "Papa" John Phillips, singer/songwriter, died at the age of 65.

Born: August 30th, 1935
Died: March 15th, 2001

"Papa" John Edmund Andrew
Phillips
( 1935 - 2001 )

--- In my opinion, although this was a major
bummer, Image I say we don't cry, but be happy with all the great memories and music this man wrote and gave to us.

John P.'s will be missed. A true hero, from a time that forever goes spoken. He cetainly lived life to the limit, in that I celebrate his death. His music will always live on..

*Sort of funny, that my wife just now, told me of the sad news. I had been watching clips, over the last wk, end of the early days of the band. With very recent interviews with John. I'll always remember him, from that light, as he told humorous story's of what the band had gone through. (Not to mention, he candidly spoke of lifes many ups and downs). He sounded optomistic, and quite messmerized, to be a significant part of that era.

* Yes, that will be the way, I remember him best!
