It was nice CNN made Pete Seeger a prioity, on thier show about folk music, then and now. My wife (as much as she hates to admitt it)loves Folkies, and the first scene made her laugh! In interview (short and sweet) Pete was asked about his political views. He simply stated "I've sang some for the left, I sang some for the right, and I even sang some for the vegetarians...And this huge grin covered his face....Lots of other younger artist shared thier feelings about "Pete". OH, "Joan Baez" was vocal. She stated that the younger musicians can give the songs that extra edge. After all 2001 is not far away!.........Image

Pete himself (in a very recent) interview on lawn. Very short video of Pete, but non-the-less entertaining. There was much mention of Woody Guthrie. This all in the first 10 min. of an hr. show. The rest of the show, is mostly all younger Artist (Besides Joan Baez) sharing thier opinions on Pete and Woody and the likes. Phill Ohces (spelling wrong) he talked a lil bout Pete and WWG. Nice to hear the young Artist, come on with this new "Edgy" Folk Music. And to make it vocal, that the songs of the past, are just as relivent today, and they need to be sung.

Thanks Janet for the link! For anyone who missed it on T.V. little if nothing is left out of this news-take. I had forgot to mention "Tao" is on the beginning...And it sounds better (much more earthy) coming strait from Pete. Excellant video!!!
