Hi,

Great forum – been reading on and off for a while.

I was hoping that someone could give me some help about a folk band from England (I think).

I bought a live recording of a band called The Topce at a record fair a few years back. I heard them name checked on a radio station and thought they sounded interesting.

The live recording is great – but I’d like to find out more.

I am not that great on computers so there’s probably loads of stuff out there but my son sent a link to a UTube of theirs on the World Wide Web.

Here’s where you find it ON-LINE

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T02utNdBpFo

I’ve typed that out so I hope there isn’t any mistakes in it (if there are, please accept my sincere apologies - it's hard finding all the symbols on my key board).

So please if you have any info about them I’d love to hear - what theyn did, what they recorded etc, if you saw them play?

And thanks for listening to me.

If the owners are unhappy about this plase delete my email immediately. I’d hate to cause any problems for anyone and I am asking elsewhere too so no problem

Thank you my dear for taking the time and interest. I appreciate your help.

Yes, you’re right, they’re a wonderful band.

I’ve had a little bit of luck from elsewhere. A chap called Freddy, who owns the Madcat café, has been asking pertinent but difficult questions of the music community for me and has been chasing up the right people.

Fortunately, he’s an influential and persuasive man and he’s been collecting video and audio performances of the band from unknown sources. He’s now acquired quite a collection and has kindly posted this collection online:

So, taking from Freddy (thank you Freddy) – I wonder if this might jog a few memories?

If anyone has heard anything please contact Freddy directly at Madcat Café.
