A sad loss for the world, one of the last of the old style anarchists and labor union organizers. He had congestive heart failure for years and it finally caught up with him.

I read that he refused a heart transplant. I guess he thought his time was up. His words and songs have been a real inspiration to me and to countless others. The world is a lesser place now that he is gone.

Actually, on his blog site, they stated that it had been a possibility (he had just gotten worse enough to qualify to be listed for a transplant) but like thousands of other Americans, his time just ran out before he got on the list.

So sad he didn't get on the transplant list in time. Prayers for those on the transplant lists...
