NPR recently aired a program on March 4, 2002 called "Getting the Dirt on Overalls", as part of a series called "Present at the creation". A report by Neda Ulaby on the evolution of overalls from low class work clothes to pop fashion. You can't hardly have a program about overalls without having Woody Guthrie singing "Dirty Overalls". Bound For Glory: Woody Guthrie Tribute

On Sunday, April 14th at 2:00pm, the Folk Song Society will once again present "Bound For Glory" - a musical tribute to Woody Guthrie in narrative and song. This concert will be held as one of a series of concerts which will take place at the Museum of Our National Heritage in Lexington during their "History of the Banjo" exhibit.

The concert will benefit the Residential Council Fund at Sunbridge in Lowell. Many patients with Huntington's Disease are patients there, including one of Natalie Frank's children. Natalie has worked very hard for decades to raise money for the support of research and patient care for victims of Huntington's Disease. Her daughter Andrea is a patient at Sunbridge and we are going to honor Natalie's request that we provide support in this very special way this time.

All Folk Song Society members of all ages are welcome to participate in the concert whether they have been in prior concerts or not.

Nothing at all profound, but I found it intresting anyway. In our current local (N.J)edition of "TV Guide", there is an advertisement for the Woody Guthrie Archives simply listing their contact information( Phone, e-mail, fax, website, etc), and what resources they have available.
