For almost as long as I've been an Arlo Guthrie fan, I've also been a fan of Canadian folk artist Bruce Cockburn (pronounced Co-burn). Bruce's best known singles are "Wondering Where The Lions Are," "If I Had A Rocket Launcher," and "If A Tree Falls," but much of his music is aimed at the human condition and our responsibilities as world citizens, and stewards to the planet we live on. An excellent guitarist, Bruce also has put many amazing instrumentals on his albums over the years (many of which can be found on his recent release, "Speechless").

Are there any other fans of this wonderful artist? I think I remember that Sparky's a fan, too (but you can still chime in, Sparky). :D

There was a neat interview in eMagazine. Looks like Bruce's tour will wend his way through Colorado before heading up the east coast.

Ooh, thanks for the heads up, Sparkydon. I didn't know about the Bravo channel showing...I'm looking forward to the new album very much.

Bruce is making two Colorado stops, in Denver and Boulder. I plan to hit the Boulder show with Z-lady, who enjoys the music but doesn't know the songs as well as I do.

If you don't know this important artist, you might want to check out that show on Bravo sparkydon mentioned. The last time I saw Bruce live, someone in the audience shouted out, "Bruce you're beautiful," to which he replied, "We're all beautiful!"

"Wondering Where The Lions Are" is a good one. I really like that one. Another good one of his is "You Have A Dream Like Mind (Mine?)". I think Mike has some of his records...

Yes, "A Dream Like Mine" is on Bruce's "Nothing But A Burning Light" album.
