Even though Phil is not here in the flesh ,his spirit certainly remains in full force,turn down the sound on CNN, put on "all the news thats fit to sing" WOW....Who was the real Psychic Cowboy??? Phil of course..He walked the walk and talked the talk,,,, "He came out of Ohio,Music on his lips,The Grand Ole Opry never heard nothin' like this,Sang about tomorrow ,Like he'd been their yesterday.He was a song writtin',fortune tellin',singing astrial Ace,,Where are we goin?,What will we see?,What can we do to change our destiny?,Tell us the answer ,You seldom have been wrong,And sing us another "Psychic Cowboy" song........words for his friend Phil by my friend Jim Glover...( the other Sundowner ) and ( Jim and Jean fame,),,,,We have played many of Phils songs together and do our best to keep his memory ALIVE,,,,While in Florida check out Friends of Florida Folk,,,,great bunch of Folkies,,Here in Detroit the "Psychic Cowboy"..plays Ochs on a regular basis,,,, ( Just carrying the torch ).....My friend Jim says I remind him of Phil,,,,a compliment I hold dearly...If anyone out there is interested I intervied Sis Cunningham,Jim Glover,Sammy Walker,Michael Ochs,and Arthur Gorson in the early 80's for a NPR radio show that was never aired...and have all on audio tape....Some interesting insite into the life of Phil Ochs and a great peice on the "Folk Scare" of the 60's,,,The ideals Phil sang about wil always be in the interest of a Free society.....PEACE,,,,Keep the torch burning,,The truth will set you free,,,,,,, The Psychic Cowboy....( Dylan )
