Today, it was announced that the 2000th serviceperson has died in Iraq. (Our government doesn't keep track of how many Iraqis have died.)

Vigils are being planned for tomorrow to commemorate those who have died, and to demand an end to the occupation of Iraq.

I'll be attending a vigil in Colonie (at a major intersection). There are vigils all over, and you can check out www.moveon.org to find a vigil near you.

Wyldflower....there are several vigils in my area that are for Iraquis as well and a couple that are just for Iraqis....

Thanks for letting me know about that, KJ... There is a small Iraqi community here and I know a few people of Iraqi descent who will be at the Colonie vigil.
