OK... I know I've posted this elsewhere, but I want to make sure that other New Yorkers know about the Working Families Party ... Line E on the ballot on Tuesday.

They stand for the average people like you or me, who care about health care, the environment, a living wage for all who work and many other issues.

The neat thing about it is that in NY, Fusion voting is permissible, so when someone is listed as the candidate for more than one party, their votes from all parties they are listed with get ADDED TOGETHER... so you can vote your views, and NOT vote one of the two major parties... you still cast your ballot for Kerry, and Schumer for Senate, and McNulty for the House, but NOT vote Democrat!

There may be similar situations in other states, though the Working Families Party is a New York entity. People in other states can check out the candidates in their local area by going to www.dnet.org - which is run by the non-partisan League of Women Voters (www.lwv.org) Check your listings, to see if the major candidates are cross-listed with an alternative party... check out what that party stands for, and vote for the views that fit your own the closest.

Right you are, Wyldflower. I used to vote the Liberal line in NY all the time. It's different down here in the swamps, but then what isn't!

I've got my fingers crossed for you all, but something was said over here that over 60,000 ballot papers have gone missing in florider!?!?! is that true. And according to the charts and graphs and things they are putting in the papers it looks like its going to be really tight.

I did the deed this morning, Voting row E for the Working Families Party.

It was my first time voting so I felt I needed a statement when leaving the voting booth....

I voted this morning, too...

I just want to remind you all that EVERY vote counts... even if you live in a state that's already 'decided'. With the likelihood of the electoral vote being so tightly balanced, it's important to get a significant majority in the popular vote. We need a resounding victory for Kerry - something the Repugnicans can't contest.

I dunno Pat. Those are a lot of "signs".
But of course as a devout Christian, Bush does believe in the second coming of Christ, which is to be respected. The trouble is he thinks he IS the second coming of Christ.
Anyway, if Bush wins again, I don't think you will have to worry about the frogs and locust. I'm kinda thinking the first cousin of the asteroid the wiped out the dinosaurs is coming for us next if Bush wins. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/eek.gif" width=15 height=15>

We'er watching your elections over hear very closely too. I was in a shop today and the radio was on, the program was on about the elections, I couldn't quite hear all it said but when Bush's name was mentioned the man behind the counder who was really listening hard booed loud, and then when it mentioned Kerry's name he was cheering. And he's not the only one, judging by what the papers are saying over here most of britain want him out too.

that's amazing, wyld! i had my kerry pin on when i went to vote tonight. i wasn't sure if they'd make me take it off when i walked in, campaining at a poll site or whatever. no one said a word...

Ohmygod, Wyld. That's awful--you can't encourage people to vote, period? What morons! Wish there were a way to get that in the Albany paper (and/or others) without endangering your job.

When I went to vote for Dubya I was wearing a sweatshirt with a pic of Arlo with an American flag on it, flared jeans & peace sign earrings. Not all 60's people are liberals LOL...

Wyld, that is pretty bad. I think Ceashel's on to something, I would write a letter to your local paper omitting your name and the job decription, the lkease dthey could do is not print it.
