I don't know if we post this kind of thing, here, but I will. If it is the wrong thing to do, please remove it, moderators and sorry for any trouble.

We lost Leon Russell on November 13, 2016. What a wonderful life he lead and how much he contributed to the music world. I only saw him in Mad Dogs And Englishmen as far as live but I feel like I knew him, personally, probably because quite a few of my friends, did, and tell stories.

I lived in Tulsa, miss it terribly and wish I could pack my bags and take off for Oklahoma and never look back. :?

I've never been to OK but it sounds like an interesting place to visit. Leon will be missed.

I love Leon from way back and will forever. Saw him first in the MDAE Tour, very first show in Detroit. Then a year later with the Shelter People, what a band that was and a year after that on his Carney Tour. Wish I would have kept up with him, I could have seen him way more. What a talented musician he was, loved his funky style and his unique and crazy voice. I'm in Tx now and been to OK a few times, pretty up near Tulsa and the Turner Falls area is nice too. I would love to
hear some Leon stories... Thanks.

Yes, I am on a Leon Russell FB site and they updated us on this. Sad, he was a great drummer. Hope he was greeted by Leon and his many
friends that have left us. RIP.
