Last weeks opening episode was awsome. Elvis covered Sir Eltons' "Border Song."

It was very good, I had heard about it sometime ago and watched it the first time round. Great band with Allen Tousaint (hope I spelld that right) and James Burton. I really liked Elton doing Leon Russell, that was pretty good! The Laura Nyro songs were good as well! Well Done Elvis!

i don't get that channel so...but the very first live concert i ever attended was elton john!
(is that funny? i don't know) it seemed to be centered around the yellow brick road album and i am not 100 percent sure but he may have sang the bitch is back as well? (i always liked that song...kind of funny and a lot of energy) i do remember arriving and hearing kiki dee (the opening act) singing hard "i got the music in me" and wanting to hurry to get to my seat before elton started! he gave an amazing high energy four hour concert...once lifting his piano bench over his head as if to launch it into the audience (the audience braced) only to set it back down and play some slamming piano!

i am glad i got to see him at that time.

i also remember finding out more recently (some time over the past few years) about laura nyro and hearing some of her stuff.

This weeks show with James Taylor was great. He also mentioned Woody as one of his influnces.

I'm afraid I missed it. I bet it was interesting. I did hear a James Taylor song on the radio last nite while flipping dials. This part of the lyrics jumped out at me & spoke to me:
