From Slate...http://www.slate.com/id/2203922/

With my father in-laws ongoing cancer battle this medicine issue has come up in our family. I have not talked with dad directly about this. My wife and mother in-law both tell me he will not go there. I see him struggle with pain, lack of appetite and sleep, and I know there is some relief to be had.

Seems like the studies mentioned in this article should have been completed long ago. I wonder if it is posible for dad to get in on the clinical trials for Sativex? I will ask at his next appointment.

You may be surprised.

Sometimes when you struggle long enough, your willing to go for the unconventional.

I have an Aunt...when she was in her early seventies, she actually mentioned that she wished she would have tried it at least once. I thought about making that wish come true for her. I mean really, it would have been a little something we could have shared (just the once though..lol) I decided against suggesting it because she started taking meds for something and I didn't know how it would mix. She just turned 95 and I still think about her saying that.

It couldn't hurt to suggest or at least ask his doctor about it. I'd ask the doc before you mention it to him....he may feel better about it if he knows the doc is okay with it.
Prayers & Blundervibes that you find something that works, no matter what it is!

Use was just passed in Michigan for cancer. I'm glad since so many have suffered a lot when this could have helped them cope and have a less painful and happier life.

Sending you and your dad blundervibes.
