Another of my resolutions this year, for the sake of my family, is to do a Will, should the grim reaper arrive early.

Any advice from blunderite sages on how to proceed with this daunting task would be welcome. Will kit? Lawyer? Good websites with Will info? Pitfalls to avoid?

lcj, I've used Quicken Lawyer, produced by Parsons Technology (an Intuit Company). In 2001, wills I did that way for my aunt and my father-in-law have gone to probate, and in both cases, the lawers were "awed" by how well-done and thorough the wills were, and they went through probate with no problem at all. It has specifics for the state you're filing in. I HATE that I always know the answers for this kind of question, but if it helps, then I guess I'm glad.

lcj, thinking about you for weekend 2. I I hope you can do something really special for lcj this weekend! A reward for weekend 1.

Arnie, I seem to remember somewhere in here, you mentioned this being a palindromic year. Well, tonight's the night (for us Gregorian Calendar types, anyway)--see below:
