The Dallas Cowboys played in Mexico once, does that count as the tropics? OK State is okay with me...though I don't follow college football.

Amen sisters. Mike is nutty about the Redskins so we deal with that constantly lol. I have a neat Packers stroy about my dad. He's not into sports at all but he saw yrs ago on a cereal box where you could get a $50 Packers jacket for $1.50 if you sent in 5 box tops. Now dad is one for a deal so he sent in ther $1.50 & the boxtops & got a nice Packers jacket. He was bragging about how cheap he got it after he got it...

I don't really FOLLOW college football. But this year I bought a football yearbook that I thought stopped publishing decades ago - Street & Smith's College Football Yearbook. It was just so cool to see it on the shelf, I had to buy it. When I opened it up there was an article about the cover - it seems they've had a different look for ages and hired a guy this year to do retro covers. . .

Now...if we would just stop killing ourselves with mistakes... what a good team we would have.

Well, at least the ball wasn't being snapped 12 feet in the air this time... :) I thought that was an improvement, lol!

i don't know how you guys can talk about (ugh!) football, especially when it's BASKETBALL season!!

now for real entertainment, nothing beats watching the NY Knicks bleed themselves to death in front of a crowd...

Meanwhile on the NCAA front, they've got a very young team, makin' some mistakes, but they look good to grow... We'll just see how they do against Duke this year...
Go TERPS!! :!:

ha ha ha ha ha...

what is basketball, what a hoot!

at least it's explainable in one or two sentences.
You run with the ball, bouncing it on the floor as you run. You try to toss the ball through a hoop on a pole, and score points when you do.

now explain football... and why it takes 11 guys in full battle array to cover the same size field that a soccer team (TRUE football!) covers with only 10, with nothing more than a shin guard...

weenies.

also not very bright.. lets see...
Soccer - says it's too cold, and snowy, let's play indoors until spring.
Baseball - says it's too cold and snowy, let's go to Florida/Arizona until spring
Basketball - says the schoolyard is too cold, let's play indoors on nice wood floors
hockey - says it's too nasty outside, let's play on a nice temperature controlled rink with no weak spots.

football??? says we're too stupid to come in from the rain/sleet/snow/hail/lightning/gloom of night... we've had so many concussions, we don't feel anything anymore anyway...
