I agree with you Agnes re prophesy and yes there is a human longing. Problem is that longing gets messed up in all sorts of ways and then we get what we have, the business as usual of strife and war. That too seems to be a part of our evolution if not just a symptom of something else.

"you remind me of len..."

I don't who your 'Len...' is Agnes....but I just woke up with some kind of 'inspiritation'!

Now most of what folks write here (and there seems to be just a few) is well their stuff and that's ok....
What if something was started right here on this site that had a simple vision of just making our world a better place?
What if folks could come on and agree to something that could and would make change happen instead of getting bogged down in the small print of our own notions and fears and instead leave the 'weeding ou't to Arlo and his deputy Dave? (That's if they say ok to such a 'vision')

So for instance 'we' give it say 6 months to see if folks are interested in contributing something of theirselves on this site that becomes a virtual community of Peaceand Goodwill that reaches out in just a simple way to eachother nomatter our colour, class, creed (or none) nationality, sexual orientation, or whatever baggage got stuck on our shoulders/backs? What if it happened? What if 'i' became 'us' and what if 'us' became 'we' and what if we became something new, something the worlrd has been unable to do, something like a bring your own Peace and Goodwill virtual movement that shakes the world from right here?

Lets see what folks got to say on this and who has the courage to jump first,,,,,and create our own kind of 'music' right here in this Dump of Arlo's? (Who gonna give the first fig leaf to wear i wonder?)

(The film 'Easy Rider' was something else but the music for the most part was awesome! Woodstock was something else but the music for the most part was awesome! Leo, your vision is something else but the music is awesome!!!)

Peace and goodwill begins right here or does it? Who will stand here in the Gap and make it happen?

(it's 5.28am here in Ireland so I'm going back to sleep for a while)

Peace and huggies from a simple mind and fellow traveller in space, time and virtual Reality!
(Maybe you may even send this wee 'hippie' a message through the usual 'Arlo" message channels? (i'm up for it and no butts but shall the deaf hear, the lame walk, the blind see and the dead get born again? Oops! does that sound a bit 'churchy'? Bring it on folks - bring your joshself on if you will 8) )

( i know :!: )

It would help if we had political leaders who were not lunatics serving the elite. Sure there are a handful who seem to care about the people. I think about what Taos said about a good leader, "When the job is done the people will say we did it ourselves." I am very hopeful that those with insight who shine brightly in Daniel 12:3 will be given control over our media and start to offer real solutions to empower communities to be able to take care of themselves.

Woodstock, I really like your idea of trying to start a Peace and Goodwill community right here on this site! Sign me up- and here's my special reason.I have never been a "judgey" person, but a few months ago I temporarily did judge a person. I learned more, apologized, and was very quickly forgiven. Except for my husband ,who passed on from this life 2 yrs ago, no one had ever given me the gift of forgiveness before. What a powerful force of life forgiveness is!!! Just remembering as I write this is making my head spin!!! So I am adding to my Peace and Goodwill list that I will not judge anyone , and I will forgive everyone. Two things that I knew were powerful, but never thought about them being THAT powerful. So there's my little contribution to your community idea.

I have the hardest time forgiving myself, others just roll off of my shoulders and end up with no main problem against most.

I suppose that if in having 'freewill' we can all makes choices that go one way or the other and some of those choices turn out different to what we may have ever have imagined but forgiveness is perhaps one of those kind of choices that may cost the most within our own reason. Judgement is for judges and as for me I keep on forgetting the qualifications that may be necessary for that wee office. They say 'words are cheap' but the important wee ones can be very dear to us. Lets see wot knots we tie together reference Peace, Goodwill, Forgivness and Judgement.

Concerning another matter. After getting home from work I switched on the news and heard something about some USA top guys discussing something about another war that going to take a fistful of taxpayer's dollars and is estimated to probably last for decades! No mention in the small print reference the estimated 'collateral damage', the estimated loss of 'boots' or even the way it shall all turn out in the end and just for whose real security or profit its really going to be for. But the more the merrier in order to make it appear more right?

For sure the cancer of the awfulness of ISIS requires surgery but at what cost?
So what can wee i do about it? Well, beginning with a little bit of peace, forgiveness, and reminding little old me not to be as judgemental as i can get with those nearby then maybe the goodwill will grow. And if two folks agree to water such a wee mustard seed and pass the can around who knows - we may even get to really beating our wee swords into one big ploughshare?

Life is too short not to share it together in the best possible way - maybe not?

Love (Now there's another wee word to ponder maybe?)

(Deeyak, I suppose you signed up when you signed in - Pleased to meet you!)
(Leo, Rock and Roll yourself!)

PS. And don't forget what makes the flowers grow.......(especially in the desert)

and while we are grappling with domestic abuse and sexual assault issues in the news today, i am reminded of this excerpt again from a holy guide book

There was next to nothing I was quoting from the Bible which you will hear your local preacher talking about. I found a few things not out of context of these times, which add up to Liberty to me. But today, you mention the Bible and people think you are talking about what the established church talks about.

Sorry but it is going to take people who understand it is all going to happen in the flesh this time too, for us to ever solve Isreal-Gaza, or to solve any of the trash going on today.

S

you said you forgot. as appalling as it is?

"oh that,,,," (?)

i am not talking about how "the established church" conveys or whatever….i am reading right out of the bible,,,which is relied on (by many) as the word of god

i do not rely on the words of anyone as conveying the word of god!

anyhow, here is the post where i was referring to judges….

What if adg ends up being the Ancient Old Hippie of Days with the hair white as wool in Daniel 7? If I am number 9 Michael as I claim, Arlo is... if that all is not true, the world is doomed.

okay…here are some more bible verses for you….

judges 19

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=TLB

continued

judges 20

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?s ... ersion=TLB

notice judges 20:4-10 (not to leave out the rest of it, mind you)

he seemed to neglect to mention that he had pushed his wife/concubine out the door for the rapist murderers

minor detail?

then of course, the righteous indignation ensues

i see a lot of parallels even today!

we humans have a lot of potential, still we are a goofy lot and we need to address our issues (we do have them), without superstition (and "tradition") ?

The indignation of today will run it's course, and the trash we all hate is having a purging and purifying effect on people, is how I add up these times and somethings written in highly esteemed Daniel.

Maybe there's a wee bit of huggermuggering going on and maybe there's not but whatever. So okay, maybe we can actually agree on a minor bible study:

"Let us make man in our image.....male and female he created them..." (Genesis by 'Moses')

So let's assume that this is 'God' talking about Her and Himself. A spiritual hermaphrodite, if you pardon my interpretation but if you are offended by that word 'spiritual' just pass over. Religion, like sex has been debated, defended, attacked, loved, hated, probed, dissected and perhaps a tad boring in an exciting sort of way, depending on one's position in relation to the matter. Rather than just keep on making hay ad nauseam why not just agree to disagree and move on to something maybe more beneficial to grow? For instance: What are the bets that someone will come up with a better than 'multi-orgasmatic female viagra' discovery before they come up with a final solution to the Middle East problem that pleases both sides? Maybe there really is such an ergonomic truth to be discovered and rather than passing placebos? Imagine something else, be it just pleasurably platonic but achieving a climax of Peace and Goodwill on this thread rather than some wordy intercourse about the normal interaction of time and space. Lets "Increase and multiply" folks and stuff the begrudgers by making peace and not pseudo war about whatever....? (There's enough war about!) Peace, Goodwill etc are just words. What if the words became 'flesh'?
What if You, him, her, me, made those words 'flesh'? ( what a crazy notion)

Just a rant about dumb perspective

Orgasmic Peace and Love to below and above!
