Those Dems keep calling me to vote for their Dem candidate for Gov tomorrow lol.MIke keeps haning up on theri recordings. & Yes he hung up on the Republican one too lol. Sorry but he won't get my vote cuz the current Dem Gov is taking us to death. Already some nuts in legislature want to raise the price of our car taxes. Yikes...

I really think that we desparately need a third party. Maybe even a fourth or fifth. And we should definitely let every American's vote determine who should be president, not who gets to actually "vote" for the president in the electoral college.
But I have to say that, even though I voted for Nader the first time around, I could not bring myself to do it in the last election. I weighed the possibilities and concluded that the best avenue to get that A-hole Bush out of there was to vote for Kerry. And even though I "lean to Green", I may have to go Democratic the next time around just to get the slime ball Republicans out of any office they happen to occupy. At this point, the only Republican who'd get my vote is our present Governor of Connecticut, Jody Rell. And she wasn't even elected. As the former Lt. Gov, she took over when our former Gov Roland was shipped off to the slammer for assorted abuses of power. She's done a pretty fair job, so far. One of the few seemingly good Republicans. But at this time, the Democratic jackass is more like a mule with no balls! There doesn't seem to be anybody with enough brass to step up to the plate.

The phone calls keep on coming. The phone rang when I was fixing spaghetti for dinner. Mike answered it. It was Dubya asking us to vote for the Republican for Gov. We were gonna do it anyway without him asking lol. I told Mike it was nice of Dubya to call us while here in Va. Lol. I bet he was pre-recorded...

Alas, it wasn't so good here, but we're not really surprised. In Texas, this passed by a huge margin: "The constitutional amendment providing that marriage in this state consists only of the union of one man and one woman and prohibiting this state or a political subdivision of this state from creating or recognizing any legal status identical or similar to marriage." On the other hand, Arnold's efforts lost, and Dems did well elsewhere, so overall, yippee!!!!!!!!

Did you see where Cheney wants to let the CIA use torture in the intrests of national security when talking about the bill that would prohibit the military from doing so? If he gets his way, and it's in the intrests of national security, I think the CIA should question Scooter Libby and Cheney using whatever methods Cheney approves of for other people putting national security at risk.

It was the biggest off year election ever. Things are really shaken up. People are starting to get it and moderate Republicans seem to be making a break for it. I think they've just been waiting for the right moment.
