No cannonballs did fly
No rifles cut us down
No bombs fell from the sky
No blood soaked the ground
No powder flash blinded the eye
No deafening thunder sounded
But just as sure as the hand of god
They brought death to my hometown
They brought death to my hometown

No shells ripped the evening sky
No cities burning down
No armies stormed the shores for which we’d die
No dictators were crowned
High off on a quiet night
I never heard a sound
The marauders raided in the dark and brought death to my hometown, boys
Death to my hometown

They destroyed our families’ factories and they took our homes
They left our bodies on the plains
The vultures picked our bones

So listen up, my Sonny boy
Be ready for when they come
For they’ll be returning sure as the rising sun

Now get yourself a song to sing and sing it ’til you’re done
Yeah, sing it hard and sing it well
Send the robber baron’s straight to hell
The greedy thieves that came around
And ate the flesh of everything they’ve found
Whose crimes have gone unpunished now
Walk the streets as free men now

And they brought death to our hometown, boys
Death to our hometown, boys
Death to our hometown, boys
Death to our hometown

Adding up our times, it is sure seeming to me that we need those social concerns of the left, for the wounds caused by The Fed. There is a great Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry on what use to be Fort Devens in Massatack. Things like that are probably a better way to go than Food Stamps and such. Its just that The Middle Class is getting so squeezed that they can't donate to Local Food Pantries and Shelters.-Have seen some good and bad ones of both.

I've not been here in a while. Hope all had wonderful holidays. But that is not what this thread is about. I know this forum tries to be all inclusive, and I try to understand myself better by learning what others think and why. So as I try to see what I missed, wow, was that tea flavored?

And to start with a comment about not being a loaded question, when every thing you post seems to be a loaded question, makes me wonder what this persons mind set/agenda is.

So too help my tiny brain understand please share...
(unless I'm wrongly overly critical, or you are a denier)

Step out of the shadows and share your views and philosophy clearly and openly.

Way party do you most closely align with?

Who are you backing in the presidential election?

What do you see this pres elect doing to speed recovery from our current situation?

If you'd rather snipe from the shadows than explain your views, well that is your choice.

Thankfully I/we can make a choice too.

Obama's stepped into a hard row to hoe. He's had ups and downs as for popularity, but I think, costly as it was, he has shown how the wealthy "pitch in" after they are bailed out. They don't. Quite a few greedy con artists have been brought to justice. The problem is they are too good to sit on the Group W bench. I think out president would sit down on the bench.

I try to ignore conspriracy, but it's tough to find people, even in my own scientific trade, who aren't simply too good to take a seat or sing a couple bars of AR and walk out. It's a catchy tune. What's wrong with the stuffshirts that public silliness isn't in their millieu of mindset?

Our Foreign Policy funded by the fiat trash cash from the Federal Reserve will break us, around the same lines that the USSR fell. But that is not saying that we will not be better off after, than now, or before.

Being a blundervirgin, I hesitate to wade too deep too fast. We can argue about politics and money till doomsday, only that might be a short conversation now.
