Are you really Laura Bush using an online pseudonym? Or maybe Dubya, himself? Pardon me, but I really can't otherwise see how anyone could still like him after all of the crap he's pulled! Approaching 3500 of our troops dead, one estimate of 650,000 Iraqi security forces and civilians dead, hundreds of thousands of both wounded (many seriously, with missing limbs, debilitating injuries, etc.) in a war for no good reason, the country, with a surplus when he took office, is now so far in debt that the interest alone is over $750,000 per day, and the list goes on in too many more ways. This country and the world are going to have to live with the negative consequences of his regime for untold decades (at least).

Ok, we know that Cheryl means well and assumes george is a good god fearing man because he says so and has a bible. But remember Osama Bin Laden has a Koran, Jim Jones had a Bible as did David Koresh and the KKK reveres the cross. Judge the man by his actions and not his words or his spiritual affiliations. Of course I will not pretend to speak for him, as Pat Robertson or the late Jerry Falwell might, but if Jesus were a registered voter, I'm quite sure he would not vote for Bush.
Did you know that Billy Graham is a registered democrat?

Yeah I meant well. I had no idea Billy Graham was a democrat. The things you learn only on Arlonet. :) I need to check out Fred Thompson the actors campaign. The current list of candidates are making him look good lol. We listen to Mark Levin sometimes on 670 am the Christian talk channel in Claremont, VA. He's been calling Hillary Clinton, Hillary Rotten Clinton lol...

Not for anything, Cheryl, but if Christ were to walk the earth today, the first thing he'd probably do is get rid of all those "Christian" demagogues. Not very Christian, as I understand the term, to be doing a lot of name-calling; something about casting the first stone, doing unto others, etc., etc.

Respectfully...

I just wanna let ya'll know that not every adg fan believes the floated information and convenient insinuations that have gained credence based simply on the number of times they've been repeated.

"Worst President Ever"? As proclaimed by the worst President ever himself... Jimmy Carter? Come on people. But then again, if the source has to be considered, there goes the strength of the opinion.

Impeached because of a blow job... Or impeached because of perjury in a Federal Grand Jury investigation? I guess it comes down to what side you're on. But we all know the true answer to the question above.

I'm not here to debate politics. I've had my fill of it. But I felt the need to let ya'll know that, for me, being an Arlo fan is far more about the music and the legend.

Hopefully you'll never hear from me again concerning politics.

Lies about a blow job or whitewater or lies about justification for war, tell me which is worse.
Lies to a grand jury, or lies to the american people on an unprecedented scale that led to thousands of lost lives.......tell me which is worse.

Draz, we know that not all Arlo fans are progressives, and that's why our beloved and pro-Republican Webmaster set up a Topical Tropical area. Unlike a lot of sites, this is a free speech zone, within the limits of common sense and the site rules. It's much better to have two sides to a discussion, IMHO. But yes, you'll probably find you're not in the majority here, nor in any folk music venue. I know how you feel; I live in Texas.

Now, can you name a politician who never lied? ...? ...? ...? ...? I can't think of one, either. But how many cultures were destroyed; how many lives were ruined, and most of all, how many people died because of the lie--those matter.

Besides, as an issue to distract from the real crises at hand, that whole topic is just getting a bit old and stale. How about--who has a workable plan to get the Gulf Coast cleaned up and running, to bring our kids home and quit trying to run the world by controlling the oil in Iraq, to fix our broken economy and put it on a sound fiscal base again, to make sure all Americans have access to affordable, competent medical care, to improve education for all children in our country? That's what matters now, not another rehashing of whose lie was worse.

What Shelly said! Well said, Shelly! I'm about to go out and buy Al Gore's new book, The Assault on Reason. I'm hoping he rips Dubya the new butt he deserves, not to mention the friggin' lame media.

How about an unwarranted war that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands?

Eh, I wished Woody had had the guts to rob the Banks and give the money to the people who need it. I doubt very much that would have meant throwing people out of their homes. Even the end of Isaiah 23 says that is what my Dog would do.
