Hey,
If you want to be up to date about these days. Jeremiah 23 will do it. I love the part in 23:33-40 where each man's own words will become the oracle of the dog. That sounds like liberty in america is suppose to be about, and I like my dog alot.

Oops I probably didn't write that right about the booing. I didn't mean to make folks think Arlo was being booed. It was Falwell being booed. But it was the first time I had ever seen anything booed at an Arlo show lol...

Music RX, you said Falwell may be a kook but he ain't no Bin Laden.

I got to be honest I am having trouble with a distinction between the two?

He acted based on his perception of God!
He hated in the name of his God!
He formed an army to retrieve his God!
He regimented thought and dress and gender roles to control his army of God.
and
He hated and condemned those who fell outside his vision of God.

OK, help with the distinction here?

PSB, upon furhter inspection of my thoughts perhaps you are correct...I was feeling compassionate for our fellow arlonetizen. In thought they are almost the same.....at least Falwell did not fully activate his hate ie: in armed fashion...take actual lives.

Falwell may not have actively planned military actions like 911 but..

The act of teaching and preaching an implied intolerance and hatred for others can have dire consequences when they become part of the followers perceptions. I think A. Hitler is a good case in point! For a short while the preaching actually became reality! Another name that comes to mind is one who affected my own home town, Timothy McVeigh. Both characters who fed on a steady diet of intolerant preaching and focused hatred.

Subtle things aren't so trivial!

Thought provoking........perhaps this hate has been fully activated....Consider........"W" is a self proclaimed born again like Falwell and he is certainly waging war taking innocent lives for no reason other than...I don't know.....I know the end timers have a kooky idea that they have to rebuild the temple so christ can return and to do that the dome of the rock must be destroyed....."W" has his eyes on Iran......proclaimed a new crusade....... the "Falwellians" are fully in power in DC....at least in the executive branch....he's whitled at the judicial.....and on and on

Hey thanks so much for putting my head back on straight ! I feel like myself again.....I think I had the blunderite brain cell just pass through me.

The legalistic teaching of the christian right is wrong. They will continue to tie the people up in laws, while letting the oil companies and Tv get richer and richer.
