Hey, if people must vote for a man who can't even see the horizon, never mind see over it, that is America. From what it seems to me, every last one in wants to win bad!
I just hope it isn't about the abortion issue 3 or 4 of my family has waisted 30 years on. While the GOP broke the Unions, and big business rules.
Should I add that the GOP has done nothing to help Families raise their kids, while breaking the Unions in the name of smaller govt? (Unions are the smaller govt. on city and state levels the people will always need.)
It was on some progressive site out for progress, that some one said, "God help the GOP if Americans start voting for true christian values in 2008

From what I have seen of the last 14 years since I started caring. Big Business runs DC and our TV.
Ross Perot and Jerry Brown tried to tell us that in 92, even if some folk singers knocked Perot for it.
Both of those men helped then... when in 94 I found a cause worth fighting for. Worker Ownership of the Mondragon Basque Cooperative. Which the Unions can workout the details of any time we the people tell DC to do.
It would fix half of health care in no time at all. Through the Unions which we all best be thankful are still here.
And the IBEW is already turning this land to green power. Why must that take so long?
mcd
they are still sold out to the coal barons, while small nuc. power which powers Navy Ships... can power our cities! on a smaller level then they are built on now.

What are the details of what the GOP are for? Besides the abortion issue which has done nothing to help Families Raise their Kids. I want to know why so many people have sold out to big business. If you can tell me?

Is it really the government's business to help families raise their kids? If families could earn a living wage that keeps up with inflation, I think we could raise our kids just fine. Also, government owned TV or any other business sounds a lot like it was in Russia before the Soviet Union fell apart. Any type of government can become corupt, which is what our system with checks and balances was suposed to prevent. I still can't understand how our present president and vice, as well as their partners in crime were allowed to get away with it for so long.

The abortion issue is complicated. Most people feel so strongly about it, which ever side they are on. I feel that abortion is either right or wrong, with no exceptions. If the mother's health, or the babies possible disabilities, or in the case of rape or incest come into play, how does that make it ok to abort the baby? The baby is innocent. On the other hand, we have babies born to 12 year old kids and mothers addicted to drugs or with AIDs, or parents who simply do not want children and will neglect or abuse them. I don't really know how I'd feel about it unless it affected me personally. I know of many people who are strongly against abortion, who would rethink the situation if their own daughter was pregnant by a rapist. It's also an economic issue. "Rich" people have always been able to afford safe abortions, even if they had to leave the country. "Poor" women who want abortions still got them, even though it often meant being butchered by someone who might not even be a doctor. What if the woman wants the baby, but the father doesn't, or the other way around?? It's too complicated for me. It's a sad comentary on life as we know it when a parent can stomp his own 3 month son to death, then throw him out of a moving car along the highway.

Well they have sold out to big business and broken the unions along the way. Unions can fix half of health care with out TV.
I don't want he govt. to own the TV. Its set up is ok, though big business owns it instead of the people. I just want the TV stations to send 90% of its profits to the cities they are located in. Hopefully to fix poverty and health care.
We the people should own the tv, oil, telephone, cable, and than we can have a gov by and for us the people instead of by and for big business.
Restore the Unions and we will be half way there. Some people call Unions Socialism. I call it Unionism. Is Socialism un-constitutional? Last time I read it, it wasn't.
What makes capitalism such a great thing to defend? Its no better or worse than communism. Yet no Nation has yet to try what Karl Marx wrote about. Thought he Basque People of Northern Spain are close with its Worker Ownership Cooperative called Mondragon.

The abortion issue is the same old stone throwing of the scribes and Pharisees 2000 years ago in Israel. Make them a crime and I swear every court house window in America will be broken.-(the window part i read somewhere else.)
And the same thing goes for the im-moral drug war. They are no sin before god, and more than an abortion is. If the Rail Road doesn't get those things straight we will just keep spinning our wheels, putting band-aids an things that could have been fixed 30 years ago.

That is precisely why it must be a personal decision and not mandated either way by anyone else.

Right on Seashell. The best statement I heard on was from a women bartender: "if you don't like them don't have one." Personally, from what 3 or 4 of my family have been saying for 30 years, I'm sick to death of the time it has waisted...

I think you're right about the profits from any big business-from the media, oil industry, computers, everything to be used fairly, but not owned by the government! This type of big business should be paying a fair share to the consumers of the country in taxes instead of getting tax breaks. The unions should be reinstated and big business should not have loopholes like moving to a third world country for cheap labor. However, I also think they should leave the folksingers alone. We american workers NEED the entertainment they provide.

Actually, I had my last child AFTER my tubes had been tied at age 39 and I could have been a candate for an abortion. I wasn't an issue for me. That child is now 20 and the joy of my life, along with her 4 sisters and brother. In this way, I know that birth control doesn't always work and the situation is different for everyone. I just prefer not to judge others.

Oh hell, the Sports Players, Folk Singers and the rest will all start pitching in more than we can even dream of now, while tied up in chains.

We don't need to worry about big business
being own by the Government

Big Business OWNS the Government
and they ain't gonna give it back

When you own the Government you own
it all - the Military too
There is big money in owning a Government
even during a recession too

Sincerly'
Mr Haliburton
