yeah, outrageous prices charged in hosptals for example (i have heard about this before (years ago) but it has come up again recently) $1000.00 for a toothbrush, $145.00 for a single tylenol, getting one bag of saline and being charged for 41...you know...taking care of things like that ridiculousness would i think help a little with costs!!! (sounds like a lot of disposable income as regarding the insurance companies??) (along with any other help the system is in need of!)

I agree with ya. And it is wrong not to offer folks medical insurance for pre-exisiting conditions. The reason I mentioned the free medical was incase someone needed it. Folks need healthcare and it's sad when they don't get it. Hopefully they'll get the healthcare stuff revamped in this country. And I hope they get it right...

They won't do anything if the Republicans have their way.

I am glad that you have healthcare through a program for people who can't afford it. But as Ron said, what you have is rare; most people don't have access to something like that. If they did, why ... we'd have Universal Healthcare. Now wouldn't that be nice!

I saw something on a news show about how the hospitals were charging outrageous prices like that. I also saw on a new show where the govt was wasting outrageous amounts of money on stuff like some senators wife just had to spend all this $$$ to outfit some elevator int eh White House or Capital bldg in gold. What a waste of money...

Yes, it would Shel. Here's a way that might help. A web petition for putting a public option in the reconciliation vote before Congress, with the Congress people's stances listed and a way to contact them.
