Yep! I agree. They can be very helpful in an emergency. But otherwise, I still say that they fry your brain, figuratively or literally.

Larry asked:

"Do people in prison have cell phones?

Do amoebas have cell phones?

Do time travelers have celery phones?"

Do the Irish have Celt phones?

Lots of "sell" phones on Wall Street these days. Glad I have no money!

Do window washers have sill phones?
Do fisherman have smelt phones?
Do olfactory doctors have smell phones?
I once worked in an olfactory. It was nothing to sneeze at. It ran day and night. I had to leave because it became too stuffy and congested. I'd better blow out of here before it's snot funny anymore! Guess I'll sinus off now.

Every cell in my body has its own cell phone.

The monthly fees are very expensive because they always go way over my plan limit for minutes.

Also it is hard to keep millions of little batteries charged.

Hi Guys,
Just a quick two cents worth in here.
I’m sort of a science geek type, so I get into this type of ‘stuff’ at times.

Anyway, by and large cell phones should be safe, with the exception of young children using them several hours each and every day, and even this is iffy.

Cell phones transmit very little power. Something in the order of 1 - 2 watts.
Another thing is the inverse square law. This simple means that radio waves or any other type of electromagnet radiation loses power very quickly with distance. Anytime you double the distance you loose four times the power.
The other thing is the power (microwave) from a cell phone is non ionizing radiation. In other words it does not have enough power to disrupt on a atom level.

Yes, is saw the video of the people popping corn. Absolutely had to be a hoax. I did the math on it. Considering using four cell phones and the surface area of a corn Kernel . There was no where at all, even close to enough power to pop the corn.
I can’t remember the exact amount now. I think I had it a somewhere in the order of 450 cells phones would be required to even give a good chance at popping corn

However, I will say these corn popping people had to be absolutely nuts.
To use sufficient microwave energy to pop corn in the open like that, these people were putting themselves at risk. They could have very easily cause body cellular damage to themselves that may not show up for years. Also a good probability of causing sterility.

The big danger with cell phones lies with young kids texting to strangers and that sort of thing , and as Larry put so aptly put it,
“However, with all the dingdongs I see on the drive to and from work yapping away, often before they cut me off, I too wonder about their safety.”
Right On! :D

It depends on whose boobles one is googlin', as the moral implications of googlin' are all in the eyes of the begoogled.
