Well said Wiz. I found out some more Pete info online:

http://www.recordonline.com/apps/pbcs.d ... S/90119008

I saw part of it but not all cuz we had to go eat out after church. I did see Pete's part & Springsteen's & others. Pete was really good. I just now if Woody were here he would've been a part of it...

Truth be told, it was BUSH who caused the traffic jams... by not allowing the Obama family to move into the oversized Blair House a few weeks early to accommodate the kids' first days of school.

So that's what happened! Shameful, just shameful.
Thanks Terrie

We came home from the Illinois ball in DC about 12:30 this morning on Metro...and judging from how packed the trains were, it's gonna be miserable for all those people on the mall today just getting home...it reminded me of the super-packed trains in Tokyo. They're estimating that it's going to take at least 8 hours or more to shuttle the crowd home, ans some of those people have been standing in the cold since 6am. Last night, the train from Chinatown to Metro Center was so packed, there was no way anyone could have possibly fallen over because we were compressed and packed in like sardines...it was hard to breathe! The train out to Vienna VA wasn't quite so packed, but it was very full. I'm glad I'm not claustrophobic.

My fiddle teacher cancelled my lesson today because of the traffic going around the beltway...the American Legion bridge I use to get there is one of only two open for traffic across the Potomac now because they've closed all the bridges going from Virginia to DC. Having all traffic routed across only two bridges has created a real mess. It's a good day to stay home!
