November 21, 1973: The White House reports that two of the subpoenaed tapes are missing and one contains an erased gap of 18 ½ minutes. Nixon’s secretary, Rose Mary Woods, cannot account for what experts conclude are multiple erasures covering that span. Suspicions surface that evidence is being destroyed.

And we passed an equally auspicious anniversary earlier this week -- November 17, 1973: At a press conference, Nixon urges the nation to move beyond Watergate and defends himself, arguing “I’m not a crook.”

It was 33 years ago today...that I walked down that aisle in the little non-denominational church at the edge of Purdue's campus, and married my best friend, Jim.
Not as exciting as that infamous gap in the tape, but it's been a great 33 years!

Congrats Sue. Happy anniversary.

What, what? Crooks in the whitehouse. Seems like deja vu all over again.

Saddly, today is another anniversary. 45 years...

Yes, happy anniversary, Sue! Looks like it's going to "take."

And yes, it's been 45 years. Of course it's all over the news here; people remembering being in the crowds, etc.

Oh, I can't believe it's been that long! The other day was Bobby's birthday and they said on the news that he would have been 83!?!?! I just can't imagine it's been that long!

Congratulations, Sue -- that's a much more laudable achievement in life.

congrats to sue & jim, and many many more to come!

we trail you by just a couple of years, but in this day and age of disposable relationships, it's always nice to find another 'lifer' in the crowd...
